Portrait of Lara

Hi all,

this is the portrait of Lara I shot the other day. She was tired and I am bad at styling, still I tried to be creative and in addition to a straight forward portrait I shot multiple exposures on the same negative. Hope yall enjoy and dont hesitate to ask any questions.

ps: here is another pairing option.

  1. I haven't seen very much of your work, but from what I have seen, I can say that you seem to have a very sentimental way of photographing your subjects. Your images have a very soft and misty aura about them. I like your use of color and the low contrast of your second set. Out of your two colored pairing variations, I like the first one the best - How there is one image that experiments with double exposure, and another that is straight forward. There is a good balance of warm and cool color tones as well. Love them!

  2. The black and white version is nice, I think mainly because of the multiple exposure shot that reveals the hands as part of the portrait. It also feels like a comparison because of the composition being so similar, like a look outside, and then a more inward look in the second frame.
It does give off 'fashion portrait' because of the expression, which I'm guessing was intentional because of the 'headpiece' also.
The second image doesn't have the fashion aspect, but the expression does, which is a little confusing, so I don't find it as strong despite the colors looking lovely.

  3. It was so lovely to work with you. We should do it again sometime when i'm not as tired. The first black and white one is kind of Paulo ;)

  4. The photos with the plastic or sheet ? overlaid with the photo of Lara looks extremely lovely. It gives off a really odd and uncomfortable feeling which I like, the more odd a photo the more interested people become (even if they do not like to admit it)

I have not seen much of your work but I can't wait to see more after this
